About Us
We are a fun and friendly choir made up of very different people with one thing in common - we love to sing!
As a non-auditioning choir, we welcome everyone of all ages, genders, race, religion and sexuality. We rehearse weekly in Leeds (Monday) and Bradford (Thursday), singing contemporary music from rock to pop!
About the Director
Libby Harborne

I started Joy Choir, having directed choirs for seven years and wanted to build a community of people who support one another through friendship and a shared love of music.
I have taught singing and led choirs across Yorkshire, London and in Hong Kong and I am constantly witnessing and have personally experienced the holistic benefits that being in a choir can bring. Singing can reduce stress and anxiety, confidence grows through meeting and making friends and also through performing. As well as this, self-esteem is boosted through singing your heart out and belonging to a community.
Testimonial
"I love being able to sing with other people, it’s great hearing all the different parts come together to make a lovely harmony. Being in a choir means you can enjoy singing because it’s all about the sound that comes together from the group, which can be really amazing"
