We are a fun and friendly choir made up of very different people with one thing in common - we love to sing!
As a non-auditioning choir, we welcome everyone of all ages, genders, race, religion and sexuality. We rehearse weekly in Rawdon, singing contemporary music from rock to pop!
About the Director
Libby Dobbs
London-born but proudly Yorkshire-based, Libby Dobbs is a musical director, arranger, and performer with a deep passion for making music accessible, joyful, and inclusive.
After several years of directing choirs, Libby founded Joy Choir in 2018 with the vision of creating a welcoming space where anyone — regardless of age, background, or musical experience — can come together and experience the power of singing in a group.
Having taught singing and led choirs across Yorkshire, London, and Hong Kong, she has seen time and again how singing together can make a real difference. It lifts spirits, eases stress, builds confidence, and brings people closer through shared creativity and laughter.
At Joy Choir, Libby’s aim is to create a community where every voice is valued, and every rehearsal leaves singers feeling lighter, brighter, and more connected — both to the music and to each other.
